Preamble We, having associated outselves together as a Volunteer Fire, Rescue, and EMS Department of Somevell County, pledge to support tihe Laws, Regulations and guidelines of said department, adopting the following resoultions for the government or our department. |

|
Article I This department shall be known as the Somervell County Volunteer Fire, Rescue and EMS Department and shall be composed of three (3) companies, to wit: the Fire Company; The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Company; and the Rescue Company; and shall have for its motto: "Service To Our Neighbors". These companies shall be staffed by active members, but may be augmented with member emeritus, county support personnel or reserve members as deemed necessary by the elected officers to support our mission.

Article II The elected officers of this department shall constitute its Board of Directors.

Article III Sec. 1: The elected officers of this department shall be a Fire Chief, two Assistant Fire Chiefs, 3 Captains of the Fire Company, Captain of the EMS Company, Captain of the Rescue Company, Secretary-Treasurer, Fire Marshal, Training officer, a Chaplain, and Reporter.
Sec. 1.1: The three Captains of the Fire Company shall be the Captain of the Pumpers, Captain of the Brush Trucks, and Captain of the Tanker.
Sec. 1.2: Nominees must be active voting members of the department having completed their probationary period.
Sec. 2: Newly elected officers shall assume their elective duties immediately after being elected and qualified. Sec. 3: A nominee must be a member if the Fire company to be qualified for election to the positions of Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, or as a Captain in the Fire Company.
Sec. 4: A nominee must hold state EMS certification and be actiive in the EMS company to be eligible to be elected as Captain of the EMS Company.
Sec. 5: A nominee must be qualified on all Rescue vehicles to be eligible for election as Captain of Rescue.
Sec. 6: In default of an election being held at the regular time, a meeting may be called for that purpose.
